When life brought her face to face with devastating tragedies, Nettie had no backup or recovery plan for her well-thought-out life. With no reference guide to help her and no ‘Do it Yourself’ book, she battled to figure out how to cope in silence. Nettie created her 1st mosaic while grieving the passing of her son Erik. She attended her first workshop in an attempt to keep busy, distract her from the grief that was threatening to engulf her.
As an Artist, she specialises in creating harmonious, balanced mosaics, on most surfaces.
Her artwork includes large scale public volunteer work, personal unique pieces for private use and renovations. Nettie’s community-based projects, are close to her heart, originating from a rich, colorful country, South Africa.
